Rock climbing: The mountain hut is placed in the north side of Collegats; we can also choose different types of rock with a short drive. Underneath the house there’s already a little climbing area with several degrees. The nearest schools are Collegats (conglomerate), Terradets, Vilanova de Meià (calcareous) and the national park of Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant maurici (granite). Hill walking: Probably one of the best ways to contemplate the beauty and immensity of Pallars Sobirà is, simply, by walking. There’s such a variety of routes as there is of walkers. We can enjoy the long walks by old the bridle paths, which join the pleasure of walking, with the satisfaction of finding the traces of history and culture on the landscape. Furthermore, the mountain hut is situated at 50 minutes of the Aigüestortes national park and 30 minutes from the Alt Pirineu national park, offering the chance for high mountain itineraries (GR).

River activities: The river Noguera Palleresa gives us the chance to practice all kind of river activities such as kayaking, rafting, hidrospeed, descent of ravines. There are several companies organising such activities in the region.

Ski: Though the mountain hut is not in a high mountain area, in winter we can enjoy skiing in nearby resorts like Port-Ainé (40 minutes), (Espot 50 minutes), Baqueira (80 minutes) and Tabascan (60 minutes).

Horse riding: In the region there are also several companies which organise long routes and excursions. At fifteen minutes from the mountain hut we find Pla de Corts which is a good place for such activities.

Mountain biking: Pallars Sobirà is well known for the countless chances it offers to go mountain biking. Bordering on the mountain hut we find the wildlife reserve Boumort with many routes to practice this sport. In summer ski resorts are open with ski lifts operating and signed descents for those who dare.

The wildlife reserve of Boumort: The mountain hut borders on the edge of the reserve, which contains the most important deer population in Catalonia, a group of izards which is the most southern group of the species in Europe and other type of hoofed animals such as wild boars or roe deers. Concerning the carrion birds, Boumort has one of the most important population of bearded vultures in Europe, the most important population of common vulture in Catalonia and an also important group of Egyptian vulture. The privileged location of the mountain hut allows us to hear the deer roar in autumn and watch these carrion birds. In the reserve you can visit the Cuberes hut.

Baix Pallars: In her town of Baix Pallars a lot to learn. We visit the monastery of Santa Maria de Gerri and the salinas. El Pla de Corts and villages ( Peramea, etc…) as well as lake Moncortes are highly recommended.
